IMPORTANT NOTE – Island School students wishing to go on the Oman Desert Adventures Quest Week trip MUST hold a passport that is eligible for Visa on Arrival for both Oman and the UAE.

Unfortunately, due to Oman and UAE restrictions, Holders of Indian or Pakistani Passports are not allowed to obtain  a Visa on Arrival and will NOT be eligible to join this trip. 

Students passports must be valid for a period of 6 months from the date of departure from their destination.

North Star’s Desert Adventure Trip combines various outdoor sport activities, camping and self-reliance training in a desert environment. It offers a unique glimpse into a history, culture and way of life going back centuries and the buzz of an almost guaranteed encounter with dolphins in the wild.

Khasab is a city in an exclave of Oman bordering the United Arab Emirates. It is the local capital of the Musandam peninsula and has frequently been dubbed the “Norway of Arabia” because of its extensive fjord-like craggy inlets and desolate mountain scapes.
