Location: Hong Kong.
Target Year Groups: Y12 to Y13
Maximum number of students: 16
Approximate cost: HK$500

Option Leader: Ms. Karen Guo

Requirements:

Big heart to serve; Willingness to learn about the needs of the local community; Flexibility – students will work with various groups of people (e.g. peers, elderly, refugees, special needs students, low-income families, street sleepers and etc.) under different circumstances that should challenge them to step out of their comfort zones.

About this option:

Following on from last year this local option gives interested students opportunities to learn about the needs of different communities outside of a classroom setting and to make connections with the people that they serve through hands on experiences. Students are encouraged to identify and research on the specific communities that they are interested in serving, and contribute ideas to the planning of the week.
Prior to Quest Week students will have the opportunity to get to know each other and identify the groups that they would like to research and help.
