Quest Week 2020

  • Why we do Quest Week.

Experiential Learning - “The power of the outdoors to contribute to the learning and educational progress of young people is beyond dispute.” David Hopkins, Professor Emeritus, Institute of Education, University of London. Taking students out of school on trips both locally and overseas helps bring the education experience alive, present new experiences to them and engage them in ways that are simply not possible in a normal classroom. Quest Week broadens their horizons and assists with making students more well-rounded, which will help them with University applications and beyond. Residential trips have always been a key feature of learning at Island School. They develop independence from home and ultimately build self-esteem and resilience, giving students positive memories that will be long remembered.
  • When is Quest Week?

Quest Week 2020 will take place during the week beginning Monday 9th to Friday 13th November 2020. Most overseas trips will leave during the preceding weekend and return on the following weekend .
